Geordie pop singer Cheryl Cole is due to front her very own chat show on channel 4 which will be called 'Late Night With Cheryl.' It will be the first professional role she has undertaken since being very publicly dropped from the judging panel of X Factor USA by Simon Cowell last year.
Cowell had offered Cheryl another contract to reappear as a judge on the British version of his talent show franchise, but it seems that she took this as more of an insult than a favour. But now, it looks as though Miss Cole's star is on the rise once again, as she aims to become the new queen of talk shows in the UK.
An insider told Star Magazine, "They know she'll be a massive ratings winner and is the perfect fit to pull in amazing guests. There have been a few film roles and scripts sent to her from Hollywood that are being considered. She's being hankered after to work on new music with US acts like Nicki Minaj, thanks to their mutual friend will.i.am. Cheryl's main concerns in 2012 are her family, solo work and the reunion with Girls Aloud - will.i.am has tons of ideas for them."
